BigCharts has deployed a 3DNS controller at its data centers in Minneapolis and Herndon, VA, and plans to add a third to its data center in Santa Clara, CA. The 3DNS product eliminates a single point of failure, in case one of BigCharts' data centers goes offline, and can redistribute traf- fic if a data center is responding too slowly to queries. Now, not only does BigCharts have redun- dancy within its data centers (due to server arrays controlled by BIG/ip), it also has redundancy between data centers.
